Equality (we say this instead of "gay equality") is an issue on the forefront of human progress.  There's no need to name the various groups and institutions of both the suffered and the adversaries.  Like it or not, equality for gay people (not still not "gay equality" since we only want the same rights) is at the forefront of sociological topics today; be it in politics, religion, the work place and even the home.
