A poll of 1,001 American voters has found that almost half believe being gay is something people choose.
The research found that 47 per cent of respondents thought homosexuality was a choice, while 46 per cent opposed gay marriage.
Why are we not surprised? No wonder the conservatives love to put gay civil rights to a people's vote. Democratic practice is flawed when comprised by the absence of good education in civil themes. This survey only outlines one of its potential dangers.
I just lived through having marriage stripped away out here in Maine.... and you said it all right here.... when we vote .. and half of those voting really believe that being gay is a choice .... we are always going to be screwed!
