It Is Religious Freedom, Not Bigotry

MYTH(S):

"We aren't bigots. We are just exercising our religious right
to express what we believe."

"Gays and Lesbians aren't affected by homophobia like other
minorities have suffered through murders and genocide."

TRUTH:

Although we have no issue with religious expression, we do have an issue when this is turned into action that directly affects gays and lesbians in a negative way. Such action can be very devastating, yet somewhat hidden from public view.

We'd like to feature In The Life Media's 26-minute episode, Ties That Bind. It provides numerous discussion prompts around the gay equality movement, the role religion has played in dividing it, and the values all of our communities share that can become harder to see as a result.
